Ivano-Frankivsk start

A relatively easy route that suits beginner hikers. There will be no crowds here like on Hoverla - you can enjoy nature in peace. And there will be plenty of nature on this trek. We cross several parallel ridges, pass some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Carpathians and, climbing higher and higher, reach the highest point of the Gorgany - Mount Syvulia.

Meeting of the group in Ivano-Frankivsk at the railway station. Then transfer to Pasechna - a small village 50 kilometers from Ivano-Frankivsk. This is where the hike begins. We walk along the picturesque Bukhtivets river along a steep rock wall. 7 km from the start of the route we descend to the Bukhtivetsky waterfall. Its height is about 10 meters and is very picturesque. There are several other smaller waterfalls nearby. Next we climb the Dil ridge (966m), the road goes through a beech forest. From the meadow on the crest of the ridge there is a wonderful view of the Gorgan ridges and the village of Manyava. The descent to Manyava is along a steep road in a coniferous forest. We spend the night in the forest near the Manyavka river.
Distance 12 km. Elevation gain: 400m.

Through a dense coniferous forest interspersed with meadows we come out to the Rushchina meadow where the sources of an important tributary of the Dniester - the Bystritsa River (it flows through Ivano-Frankivsk) are located. If we have time, on the same day we radially climb Mount Sivulya (1818m) and Lopusna (1836m), which is the highest point of Gorgan. We spend the night in the Rushchina meadow

In addition, it turns out that porcini mushrooms with cream in a camp pot are an incredibly tasty thing! Not only “finger-licking”, but just a bite!)))) Or maybe it’s all about the indescribable charm of the Carpathians, the warmth of the evening fire and soulful company. But I recommend it to everyone!

I’ll say the main thing - my heart never reminded me of itself, my back didn’t ache. The air is mountainous and healing!!! If you haven’t grown old in soul, if you have like-minded people among your grandchildren or children, if it’s not too expensive for you to carve out about 2000 UAH for everything, go to the Carpathians and check yourself. Prove to yourself that you are still worth something!
