What is Ruschyna and where is it?
This is a meadow in Gorgany at an altitude of about 1,440 meters, on the border of Ivano-Frankivsk and Nadvirnyansky districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region. It lies under the ridge of Sivul and stretches for about a kilometer.
Why do tourists come here?
Many popular routes cross through the meadow, so someone is always spending the night here. A classic place to pitch a tent in the middle of Gorgan.
How to get there?
On foot from below: the shortest from Staraya Huta (about 15.5 km), there are options from Bystrytsia (15 km) and Osmoloda (19 km). That is, you can't call it a walk - prepare your legs.
Is there a place to get water?
Yes, there is a source of drinking water 50 meters from the ruins of the old Polish shelter. Right here, on the southeastern edge, Bystrytsia Solotvynska begins.
What should you know about the state of polony?
Due to the influx of tourists, there is a shortage of firewood, and mountains of garbage - bottles, cans, glass - have accumulated near the ruins of the shelter. So take yours with you, because no one will clean up after you.
