What is the Little Gorgan and what is its height?
This is a peak about 1,592 meters high in Gorgany, one of the massifs of the Ukrainian Carpathians. It sits in the northwestern part of the Sinyak ridge.
Where exactly to look for Little Gorgan?
Nadvornyan district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. The nearest villages, from which you can push away, are Polyanytsia and Tatariv.
How difficult is it to climb up there?
The north-eastern slopes are steep and difficult to pass, and the top is covered with stone screes - that is, do not expect an easy walk, take decent shoes.
What grows there and what to see?
On the slopes there is a crooked forest of mountain pine, below - solid forests. Neighbor Sinyak (1,665 m), a little higher than Maly Gorgan itself, towers nearby.
Where did the name Gorgan come from?
Gorgans are generally famous for stone outcrops on ridges, and Little Gorgan lives up to this reputation with its own crumbling top.
