Carpathians for May 2017

For the May holidays 2017, we are organizing several hiking trips to the Carpathians. I would be glad to say that I invite everyone, but in fact, in early May, these routes are not possible for everyone.

The fact is that in the Carpathians at the beginning of May the weather is still very unstable. Snow and rain can easily replace each other.   The peaks of the Carpathians and mountain passes are still covered with snow. At night it freezes to -5. Below, in the valleys, spring is in full control. And this means that everything is blooming, singing and... getting wet. Numerous crossings and walking along paths that have turned into streams are inevitable.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with all this. Tourists constantly go hiking in the Carpathians in May. It just requires careful preparation and quality equipment.
