Guerrilla trails
A hike in honour of Victory Day, in memory of the partisan heroes. A route through the remote forests and deserted plateaus of Crimea, where more than half a century ago a handful of brave highlanders stood against a huge army. Partisan trails and camps, secret airfields and a forest riddled with shrapnel.

Day by dayItinerary
1 Day 1. Simferopol, Red Caves, Dolgorukovskaya Yayla, Mound of Glory.
Meeting the group at the train station in Simferopol (11:00). Transfer to the village of Perevalnoye. From here our climb to Dolgorukovskaya Yayla will begin. On the way we will look into the Red Cave (equipped). The plateau is empty and deserted. Where were the partisans hiding? In search of a partisan camp, we will cross the Dolgorukovskaya yayla and reach the Mound of Glory. Not far away, on the edge of the forest, on the site of one of the partisan kurens, we will spend the night.
2 Day 2. Orta-Syrt plateau, Karabi yayla, Kara-Tau, Terpi-Koba cave, Su-At.
In the morning we will dive into the thicket of the forest, where the most partisan river of Crimea, Burulcha, winds. On the other side of the forest, the Orta-Syrt plateau awaits us, where there was one of the partisan airfields. And again a short dive into the forest to immediately find yourself on the next plateau - Karabi. Our goal is the monument to the partisans on Mount Kara-Tau. There is an excellent view from there; you can take in our entire route. And nearby is the inconspicuous Terpi-Koba cave, where the ancient inhabitants of Crimea had a sanctuary. For the night we will go down to the next partisan camp on the Su-At stream.
3 Day 3. Height 1025, Partizanskaya Glade, Raspberry Stream, Polygon.
It's time to turn back. Our path lies through the partisan camp “Dedov Kuren” and the famous “Height 1025” - the site of the bloodiest battles. We will descend from the plateau along the Raspberry Brook. There are two training grounds here. First, a playground for Tolkien role-players, and below is a real army shooting range, which we will prudently bypass. In the end, the trail will lead to the already familiar Perevalnoye (around 18:00). From here you can go to Simferopol or go down to Alushta to the sea.
