FAQFrequently asked questions
What is Fox Bay and what is it famous for?
This is a bay of the Black Sea in the Crimea between the Kara-Dag and Megan massifs, known primarily as one of the largest centers of naturists on the peninsula. The film "New Earth" (2008) was also shot here.
How to get there?
The roads lead mainly from the Kurortne village - but they are mostly dirt, so the last part of the way is on foot. Nearby landmarks are pike perch and Feodosia.
What kind of beach is there - sand or pebbles?
No chaise longue gloss: the shore is stony, with boulders and rocks. Instead, there is a local feature - gray volcanic mud "kil", which they like to smear themselves with here instead of a spa.
What to see nearby?
Mount Echki-Dag (up to 670 m), the cave "Ear of the Earth" with a depth of more than 100 m and the landscape park "Lysiacha Buhta - Echki-Dag" itself. Since 2008, this entire area has the status of a regional landscape park with an area of 1,561 hectares.
When is it better to go and what to prepare for?
This is a wild, almost undeveloped area with tent sites, without the usual resort infrastructure. The warm season is the most comfortable, but stock up on water and don't count on hotel service.
