FAQFrequently asked questions

What is Chinadiyovo and where is it?

This village in Transcarpathia, in the Mukachevo district, has been known since 1214. Until 1944, it was called St. Miklos, so a lot of stories have accumulated here.

Why go here?

The main attraction is the castle of St. Miklos, which Baron Perenyi founded in the 14th century: thick walls, two corner towers and legends about secret passages. Nearby is the hunting palace of the Schönborn Counts of the end of the 19th century.

What is interesting about the Count's Palace?

It is said that it was built as an astronomical calendar: 365 windows according to the number of days in a year and 52 rooms according to the number of weeks. Now the Karpaty sanatorium works in that manor.

How to get there?

The easiest way is by train - Chinadiyovo is on the railway line that goes through Transcarpathia, plus there is a highway nearby. It is very close to Mukachevo.

What else to see nearby?

Skakalo waterfall, more than four meters high, is hidden a few kilometers away. And in the village itself there is a brick church of the Prophet Ilya from 1937 - quite massive, with an interior of 600 square meters.
