What is Bratkivska and what is its height?
This is a mountain in Gorgany (Ukrainian Carpathians) about 1788 meters high. She gave the name to the entire ridge - Bratkivskyi, so there are enough peaks from her relatives.
Where exactly is she standing?
At the junction of two regions - Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia - and three districts at once. Nearby is the Okole pass, which leads to the main Svydovetsky ridge.
How to get there?
The nearest villages from which you enter the mountain are Bystrytsia, Chorna Tisa and Lopuhiv. From there it's uphill on foot, the car is no longer an assistant.
What is underfoot and around?
The top and the slopes near it are covered with stone outcrops and sandstone blocks - classic Gorgan umlars. Below, up to 1,400-1,600 m, there are spruce forests, and above it begins the pine forest.
What neighbors are visible from the top?
Gropa (1763 m), Durnya (1709 m), Ruska (1677 m) and Chorna Kleva (1719 m) are nearby - there is a lot to see without going far.
