What is Tataruka and what is its height?
This is a mountain in the northern part of the Svidovets massif, about 1707 m high (according to other data - 1711 m). At the top you will be greeted by polony, so the views are open in all directions.
Where exactly to look for Tataruka?
Transcarpathia, on the border of Rakhiv and Tyachiv districts. The mountain sits between its neighbors - Troyaska, Pidpula and Dogyaska, so it has good company.
How to get there?
The easiest way is from the main ridge of Svidovets via Troiaska. There is also an option through the Okole pass (1193 m) in the direction of Bratkivska or from the village of Chorna Tysa.
What is worth seeing here?
The eastern slopes are steep and protected by the Apshynets Reserve, and Lake Apshynets is nearby. The sources of the Black Tisza converge from the slopes - the water starts its long journey from here.
Which side of the mountain is easier to climb?
The southern slopes are gentler, while the eastern slopes are steep. If you feel sorry for your legs - enter from the south.
