FAQFrequently asked questions

What is Borevka and where is it?

This is a peak almost 1,695 meters high in the Gorgan massif, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. It stands on the border of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kalusky districts.

How to get there?

The trails lead from the villages of Stara Huta or Osmoloda. By car you can only reach the foothills - further only with your feet.

What awaits at the top?

Stone outcrops (here they are called gorgans), mountain pine thickets and forest lower down the slopes. The northern and southwestern slopes are steep, so we do not promise an easy walk.

What peaks are nearby?

In the north stretches the Igrovyshte ridge with Igrovets (1804 m) and Visoka (1804 m), in the southwest - the Gorgan ridge. Borevka is hiding in the northwestern part of Sivuli.

Is there something interesting from history here?

Between Borevka and Igrovets there was once a meadow and a pass, and two tourist shelters stood on it even before the war. They have not survived to our days.
