What is this Wall of Trolls anyway?

This is the highest vertical rock in Europe in the west of Norway. From the bottom of the valley to the top is about 1,700 meters, of which a thousand is a vertical cliff, which sometimes even hangs over you by 50 meters.

Where to look for it on the map?

Romsdalen valley, Raum municipality in Mere og Romsdal county, within Rheinheimen National Park. The nearest landmarks are the towns of Ondalsnes and Molde.

Only climbers climb there, or can a normal person too?

On the wall itself is a job for serious climbers, it is included in the world league of Big Wall along with El Capitan. But a path leads to the top from the opposite side, so you can enjoy the view even without ropes.

Is it true that they jump with a parachute from here?

Jumped, and it was one of the iconic places for base jumping. But since 1986, Norway has banned jumping here - violations are punishable by a hefty fine and confiscation of equipment.

Any historical milestones worth knowing?

Norwegian and British teams were the first to conquer the wall at the same time in 1965. And the first winter ascent was made by the Poles in March 1974 - it took as many as 13 days.
