At the exit from the customs inspection area at the Turkish airport, you will be met by a guide from the host party (the name of the host party is indicated on your voucher), who will accompany you into the vehicle. Listen carefully to the information that the guide will give you along the way to the hotel.

We kindly ask you to take seriously the information meeting at the hotel, the time of which will be set by your guide. At this meeting you will receive information about the region, possible excursions, safety measures and other useful information. Each hotel has an information stand (folder) of the host party, which contains information about excursions, return transfers, departures, etc. For any questions that arise during the tour, you can call the host party’s office at the phone number indicated on the voucher.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION. In accordance with international regulations, checkout time at hotels is 12:00 local time. On the day of arrival, check-in to rooms is carried out after 14:00.

The allocation of rooms is the prerogative of the hotel administration. The term "sea view" refers to rooms facing the sea. However, they do not necessarily guarantee an open spatial view of the sea.

Please familiarize yourself with the conditions for using the minibar, sports equipment, swimming pool, sauna, rules for visiting restaurants and bars, renting cars, boats, and other hotel services and adhere to the established rules.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of the sports equipment specified in the catalog at the exact moment when you wish to use it. If demand is high, you may find that inventory or equipment is already full. Familiarize yourself with the established procedure in this regard, which will help you plan your vacation correctly.

It is recommended to hand over your room key to the hotel reception, and if it is lost, notify the administration. We recommend storing jewelry, money, and documents in the safe, which is located in the room or at the reception.

On the day of departure by 12:00 you must vacate your room and pay for additional services: telephone calls, minibar, ordering food and drinks in your room, massage and other additional services. You can leave your luggage in the hotel storage room and stay on the hotel premises until the bus or car arrives. If you have not checked out the room before 12:00, the cost of the room is paid in full for the next day.

NUTRITION. With half board, full board and all-inclusive options, the service typically starts on the day of arrival with dinner and ends with breakfast. If arriving at night, dinner is not provided. A la carte restaurants require advance reservations and additional payment (including many all-inclusive hotels). Each hotel may have its own rules; we recommend checking with your guide or hotel employees for details.

For drinking, we recommend using mineral water, which can be purchased in the hotel shops and bars.

Please note that you are not allowed to bring your own drinks into the hotel restaurant.  It is not allowed to take food taken from the buffet outside the restaurant.

EXCURSIONS, SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES. Our partners offer interesting excursion programs, which you can familiarize yourself with even before departure in the catalogs of our company. The schedule of excursions and their cost will be communicated to you by the guide during the information hour at the hotel. Other local businesses also offer a variety of activities, often at lower prices.

INSURANCE AND MEDICAL CARE. The traveler should learn in advance about preventive measures to protect against infections and vaccinations, as well as other preventive measures. It is advisable to consult your doctor regarding health risks.

The cost of travel includes medical insurance in case of illness, as well as accident insurance for the entire period of your stay. Read the rules for the provision of medical care and insurance company services specified in your insurance policy. If an insured event occurs, you must call the phone number in Turkey indicated directly on the insurance policy. Life insurance in favor of third parties is not included in the package of services provided by the insurance company. When planning a vacation associated with active sports and sources of increased danger, we recommend that you obtain additional voluntary insurance from any insurance company for the risk of “life insurance.”

COMPLAINTS. If you have any complaints, we recommend that you first contact the guide or the host office by phone. If the claim is not satisfied on the spot, you have the right to send a written claim to us.

USEFUL TIPS AND INFORMATION. Before starting your trip, make a photocopy of your passport and other identification documents (driver's license, etc.), and air tickets, and store them separately from the originals. If you lose your documents, you will have fewer problems, especially with tickets. If you lose your passport, air ticket or luggage, we ask you to immediately inform a representative of the receiving company, who will tell you how you can solve the problem.

Telephone numbers of necessary services in the Republic of Turkey

Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ankara – (312) 440 94 85; Consulate of the Russian Federation in Istanbul – (212) 244 26 10; Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation in Antalya – (242) 349 04 23; Police - 155; Traffic police – 154; Ambulance – 112; Fire department - 110.

Time.  It is one hour behind Moscow.

Voltage. The network is 220 V, alternating current.

Money. The monetary unit of Turkey is the Turkish lira. The exchange rate is unstable, it is better to import money in American dollars or euros, they are accepted almost everywhere.  It is advisable to have a certain number of small bills. It makes sense to exchange a small amount for lira, because... many things in Turkey cost less than a dollar (bus fare, can of beer, paid toilet). Banks are open from 08.00 to 17.30, break from 12.00 to 13.00, at resorts – seven days a week and no breaks.

Shops.  Shops do not have opening hours, and during the tourist season many shops are open until late at night. It is customary to bargain in small shops and markets; you can also bargain in large wholesale centers selling leather and jewelry and with taxi drivers.

Transport. In each city, along with taxis, which always have taximeters installed, there are dolmushi (route taxis) with a fixed fare, which travel along a specific route without making specific stops. At your request, the driver can stop the dolmush at the place you need. In big cities, buses run to almost any direction, and they are often overcrowded.

Telephone.  All types of telephone communications in Turkey are paid. Access to international communications – (007), then dial the city code and telephone number. You can use both the hotel telephone and pay phones located near post offices. Plastic telephone cards are sold at post offices and in markets.

Tips. Their payment is not mandatory, but everyone will be happy with a small tip. With good service, you can add 5-10% of the invoice amount. It is believed that bus drivers, porters, and tour guides deserve rewards if the client is satisfied with the service. In taxis they do not give tips, but the meter readings are rounded up.

First aid kit.  For those taking medications, we recommend that you take them with you. Create a first aid kit that will help you with minor ailments, save time searching for medicines and eliminate the problems of communicating in a foreign language. In addition, many drugs have different names abroad. During the summer season, it is advisable to have sunglasses and skin care creams with digital markings. The higher the number, the higher the level of protection. Do not neglect hats when you are in the sun for a long time.

Precautions. Be careful and vigilant while traveling, as tourist centers in all countries attract the attention of scammers and pickpockets. Keep money and documents so that they do not become their prey. High-risk places include train stations, gas stations, and markets. Be careful and do not leave things without your or a trusted person’s supervision, especially in public transport and during transfers. When leaving the bus at stops, including during excursions, do not leave hand luggage in it, especially valuables and money. Responsibility for the safety of hand luggage lies with the passenger.

Customs and orders. As a guest, you must respect and be tolerant of the customs of the country you are visiting. In tourist countries, customs and practices are often different from those at home; people there live in a different rhythm and lead a different way of life. In many countries, religion is of great importance. Before visiting temples or mosques, find out the existing rules in this regard. You can obtain the relevant information from your guide, as well as on the information pages of our catalogues.
