Emine-Bayir-Khosar

Emine-Bayir-Khosar

FAQFrequently asked questions

What is Emine-Bair-Khosar and where to find it?

This is a vertical karst cave on the lower plateau of the Chatyr-Dag mountain massif in the Crimea, next to the Marble Cave. The name is Crimean Tatar and roughly translates as 'fall near Emine Hill'.

What interesting things can be seen inside?

The cave is divided into halls with their own names - Ozerny, Hall of Idols, Treasury, Kecskemet. In the lower galleries lie the bones of animals from the Ice Age, so it is actually a natural mineralogical museum just underground.

How is the tour organized?

The main tourist route stretches for about 700 meters and takes about one and a half hours. The most beautiful lower areas are more difficult to access, so be prepared for the fact that the most spectacular will remain "for dessert" not for everyone.

When was it opened?

The cave was discovered in 1927. Since then, it has turned from a wild drop into an equipped excursion object.
