What is Plisce polony and where to find it?
This is a mountain range in the Carpathians, in the Rozhnyativ district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, under Mount Grofa. It is located 9 km from the village of Osmoloda, already within the borders of the Grofa landscape reserve of national importance.
How to get there?
You start from Osmoloda - from there there is a trail to the polony. From the beginning of the route to the shelter is about 2.5 km on foot, so you will have time to stretch your legs.
Is there a place to spend the night?
Yes, there is a tourist shelter with 20 beds: three rooms with an attic, conditionally 1.5 floors. The toilet is outside, and the water is from a spring 20 meters from the house, that is, without particular comfort, but there is a roof over your head.
What is interesting about the shelter here?
The first shelter was built by the community back in 1935 (according to other data - in 1934). During Soviet times, a hunting lodge appeared in its place, and the current building began to be built in 2005 and was opened in November 2008.
What routes pass through the meadow?
Plisce serves tourist trails in this corner of the Carpathians, in particular the Eastern Carpathian Tourist Route - one of the main hiking routes of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
