What is Ripna?
This is a small mountain stream about 8.5 km long in the Bogorodchan district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the Gorgan massif. It flows and flows into Bystrytsia Solotvynska as its right tributary.
Where does it start and where does it flow?
It originates on the northwestern slopes of Mount Stanimyr (1,546 m) and heads mostly northeast through the Duplyanku tract. Mouth - near the village of Stara Huta.
What pool does the stream belong to?
The Rypna flows into the Bystrytsia Solotvynska, so all the water eventually flows into the Dniester. A small mountain thread working for a big river.
What is interesting around?
Mount Buts (1290 m) rises on the left bank. The stream noticeably meanders - the tortuosity coefficient is 1.39, although the straight line from the source to the mouth is only 6.12 km.
Is this a place for a serious hike?
Rypna itself is not a tourist magnet, but rather a reference point for those who wander through Gorgan. It is a remote mountainous area, so it is better not to climb here without preparation and a map.
