What is Lovchen and what is he famous for?
This is a mountain massif and a national park in the southwest of Montenegro, the same one that gave the country its name - after all, Montenegro is literally "black mountain". This area became a park in 1952.
What is the highest point here?
The highest peak is Shtyrovnyk, 1749 m. There is a second peak nearby, Jezersky peak, 1657 m, on which stands the Negosha mausoleum.
What is the mausoleum at the top and why does everyone climb there?

How to get to the park?
The most common way is by serpentine from Kotor through the village of Negushi. The road is winding, but it is from it that the views of the Bay of Kotor open up.
What else to see besides the mausoleum?
Old villages with traditional stone architecture, summer shepherd settlements (katuns) and endemic flora - there are more than a thousand plant species here thanks to the meeting of the Mediterranean and continental climate.
