Rock Church

The church is a rocky peak in the Carpathians. Height 1049 meters. Located near the village of Mykulychyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region. This mountain is also known as Gorgan.

The Church Rock is surrounded by tall coniferous forest, but at the top there is an open rock area with excellent views. Immediately behind the viewpoint there is a sheer cliff - be careful at the top, especially in winter.

How to get there. The rock is located just 6 km from the N-09 highway, about 20 km from Bukovel. From the outskirts of Mykulychyn to the top it is just over 2 km and you can easily walk here. You can't get up to the mountain with a regular car. But often the Church Rock is included in the programs of jeep tours or routes for ATVs. In this option, you will need to leave your vehicle at the saddle and walk about 400 meters to the top (elevation gain 80 m).
