Review of the hike Highest Peaks 07/16/2017
Greetings to the readers of the site, I want to share a review about the instructor Oleg Boyko. We went on a hike in July 2017 along the Montenegrin ridge.
This was my first hike, like most of our group. Everyone was a little worried due to the lack of experience and ignorance of camp life. Oleg helped us from the very beginning to the end of the campaign, supporting those lagging behind. I would say that he is a stern man, seasoned by campaigns at any time of the day and season, but very fair and decent. Along the route, he constantly talked about the places we were going through, and also advised us on equipment and clothing.
Separately, I would like to note the night stories around the fire that he told us, these are stories about predators in the Carpathians, and stories about all sorts of inexplicable phenomena that haunt a person far from civilization, and about evil spirits living in kolbas.
Although a summer hike in the mountains is not a walk to the beach and everyone was pretty tired, the group was 100% satisfied and Oleg’s great merit in this. I really hope that next year I will have the opportunity to go hiking in the Carpathians again and I know whose group I will definitely sign up for.
