Before traveling to Nepal, I am often asked whether to take a DSLR camera for trekking. As an avid (not to be confused with a professional) photographer, I of course advise tourists to take everything - cameras, lenses, tripods, etc. So this time I convinced Alexander (a tourist from Kolyma) not to leave his Canon 70-200 2.8 telephoto camera at the hotel. I won’t hide that I had a personal interest - I really wanted to play with such a lens. The bird in the photo was taken with him in mind.
