🗓 2010-11-15

Video report on a hike along the Lycian Trail (Turkey) in September 2010. This first part is the very beginning of the route. First of all, it is a huge and very diverse Canyon of Harmony near Hoyniuk. Here we crossed a wooden bridge, swam in wetsuits through a narrow canyon, walked uphill for quite a long time, saw a Turkish doe on the way, came to the parking place in the dark and went down to get water. Quite a long day considering it started at 4am when we left for the airport to fly to Turkey. As a result, we sleep like the dead :)

The next morning we finally crossed a small ridge, replenished our supply of drinking water and descended to the river again. It's still the same canyon as yesterday, but much higher. We have lunch by the river. The water level is extremely low, but there are wide tubs where we, of course, bathe. Having overcome a small obstacle course (boulders, streams, boulders again), in the evening they crawled out to a high and open place - an abandoned garden. We spend the night on a terraced slope under almond trees. Meanwhile, hungry Turkish ants gnaw and lick the straps of my trekking poles. All night! Even the highway was built to them. What happened next? Watch the second series!
