Film town

Film town

In the east of Crimea, halfway from Solnechnaya Valley to Fox Bay, there is a very remarkable place - Kinogorodok. On the shore of Chalka Bay lies a small plywood and plaster village in an oriental style. It was built in 2004 as a set for the filming of the film Live Fish. Since then, the film town has become a local landmark.

Film town life.

Excursions are taken here, fun youth festivals are held here (Planet Art from SpaceOfJoy.ru). It’s just that the movie, it seems, hasn’t been filmed yet:( They have some inconsistencies with the local authorities. Filmmakers should hurry up - apparently, their sets will either be stolen or rented out to some entrepreneurs to organize Disneyland here:)

By the way, at the entrance to the film town there is a sign “no entry or entry allowed.” However, we took a chance and walked among its buildings. Nobody caught us, although it was noticeable that the town was inhabited and someone was looking after it.

Coordinates of the film town.

GPS coordinates of the film town: 44°53.170′ N 35°09.136′ E WGS-84

Getting here is not difficult: minibuses run from Sudak to Pribrezhny, and from there you can walk along the coast in about an hour to our goal. Or you can go from Kurortny, through the famous Fox Bay.
