The border of countries runs right through the top of Everest. The fact is that the tall rock of Everest is located in China side and its height is 8844 meters. But if you take into account ice and snow, then the highest point Qomolungma is located on the Nepalese side and its height is about 8848 m. It is officially believed that Everest's altitude is 8848.43 meters (±21 cm) above sea level.
