Tourist route (Crimea) st. Mangup - town of Mangup

1. From Art. Mangup descent to the SE to the village. Khoja-Sala (43) in b. Dzhan-Dere (44), then follow the path to the south, southwest steep climb along the bay. Tabana-Dere (36) past the destroyed wall, through the Karaite cemetery, past the spring, along a narrow hollow to the SE, to the destroyed tower on the northern edge of the plateau of Mangup-Kale or Baba-Dag (NW. NE, N, 520 m, 1.9 km, 55/35 min).

2. From the tower go E through the bushes to the ruins of the basilica-temple (3, 530 m, 0.2 km, 5/5 min).

3. From the basilica, go SE through the bushes to the ruins of the palace of Prince Alexei (NW, 540 m, 0.2 km, 5/5 min).

4. From the palace go E, NE, past the upper reaches of the b. Lagernaya, Cape Tavrsky, upper reaches of b. Gamam-Dere (37) Cape Elpi-Burun (41), upper reaches of b. Capu Dere (38), past the beginning of the medieval road leading to the lane. Mangup (45), and further down to b. Dzhan-Dere (44) on the N or in the b. Adym-Chokrak to the south, to the medieval fortress-citadel on Cape Teshkli-Burun (42) (SW, 3, 550 m, 0.9 km, 15/15 min).

5. After examining the caves of Cape Teshkli-Burun (42), go south, southwest along the cliff, past the caves, to the triangulation geodetic point marking the highest point of the plateau (NE, 583m, 0.6 km, 15/15 min).

6. 300m to the SW from the tripoint there is a narrow hollow - the beginning of the Mangup pass, descent along the hollow to the foot of the cliff (NE, 500 m, 0.3 km, 5/10 min).

R.M. From the foot of the cliff at 3 there is a path to the caves and to the monastery with a fresco (B, 500 m, 0.4 km, 10/5 min).

R.M. From the foot of the cliff, on the E, behind a large grotto, an overgrown path goes along a hollow up to the N to the entrance to a stalactite cave 300-500 m long with passages (S, 3,550 m, 0.1 km, 5/5 min).

R.M. From the foot of the cliff, the trail descends through the bushes to the E, SE and then along a dirt road until reaching the intersection of dirt roads on the lane. Mangup (45), (NW, 3, 385 m, 1.7 km, 30/35 min).

R.M. From the foot of the cliff there is a descent without a path down to the southwest to the mouth of the valley. Adym-Chokrak (46), (NE, 300 m, 1.9 km, 25/45 min).

7. From the beginning of the descent into the hollow, follow the plateau along the path N to the source of b. Gamam-Dere (37), descent to the north-west along a ravine, past a spring in a grotto, the ruins of a fortress wall, through the ruins of a tower, through the forest down to the village. Khoja-Sala (43) and then to the station. Mangup (SE, 250 m, 2.3 km, 40/70 min)
