Beach 📍 Crimea

FAQFrequently asked questions

What is Tsarsky beach and where to find it?

This is a beach on the northern shore of the Blue Bay (Deliliman) near Novy Svit in Crimea, under Mount Karaul-Oba. The name is not about royal prices, but about the visit of Emperor Nicholas II, who rested here in 1912.

Why is the beach called that?

Because of the same Nicholas II - he chose this place for bathing in 1912, and since then the name stuck. Locals often call the bay itself simply Deliliman or Blue Bay.

What is interesting around?

The bay is bordered by Cape Pecherny (Kapchik) from the east and Cape Chiken from the west, and in the eastern part, the islet-stone of Tortoise sticks out of the water. The depth does not exceed twenty meters, so the water is transparent.

Was this place lit up somewhere?

More and how. "Amphibian Man", "Pirates of the 20th Century" and "Three Plus Two" were filmed here - that is, half of the Soviet beach classics come from here.

What should you know before your visit?

The coast is part of the "Novyi Svit" nature reserve, so it is a nature protection zone - you should be careful. It is most convenient to get there from the village of Novy Svit on foot along the paths along the shore.
