FAQFrequently asked questions

What is Laspi Bay and where to find it?

This is a bay on the Black Sea, on the southern coast of Crimea, between Cape Sarich and the Ayia Nature Reserve. From Sevastopol - about 30 km, from Yalta - 40 km.

How to get there?

The bay lies right next to the Yalta-Sevastopol highway, so you won't miss it by car on the road past Foros.

Why is the climate so warm?

The bay is covered by mountains - Kush-Kaya (663 m), Kalanykh-Kaya (625 m) and Mount Ilya (739 m). They catch the sun and cut off the winds, so the local microclimate is almost subtropical.

What is interesting here, apart from the sea?

About one and a half kilometers of pebbly beach and the water is so clear that people go here to dive. 300 meters from Sarich, at a depth of about 10 meters, an underwater labyrinth of rocks is hidden - the so-called stone garden.

What makes Laspi interesting for nature lovers?

Rare relics and orchids grow here - 16 of 36 Crimean species, among them the rare comperia. People have inhabited the place since the Paleolithic, and the medieval town on the shore was emptied after the earthquake of 1790, when the springs dried up.
