Kaputaş Beach
FAQFrequently asked questions
What is Kaputash beach and where is it?
A small beach in southwestern Turkey, in the province of Antalya, wedged between rocks in a narrow valley. It lies on the highway between the towns of Kash and Kalkan.
How to get there?
The beach is right next to the D400 road, so you can get there by car or minibus between Kas (20 km) and Kalkan (7 km). There are 170 steps leading down to the sea, so comfortable shoes will not hurt.
What is there in terms of infrastructure and depth?
There are toilets, showers, changing rooms, a cafe-bar and lifeguards from Kalkan municipality. Keep in mind: the bottom here sharply goes deep almost immediately from the shore.
What to see nearby?
A narrow canyon hides across the road - you enter it from under the bridge. This is an almost 200-meter-long gorge with vertical walls, which water carved out over millennia. In the summer of 2024, the entrance cost 35 lira.
When to go and what else is interesting about this place?
It is best in the warm season, when cafes and lifeguards work. Kaputash is a popular stop for yacht Blue cruises, and sea turtles are sometimes spotted in the water here.
