Göynük Canyon
FAQFrequently asked questions
What is Hoyniuk Canyon and where is it?
A natural canyon 4.5 km long in southwestern Turkey, in Antalya province, Kemer district. It lies within the Beidaglari National Park, so the landscapes here are protected by the state, not just your camera.
How to get there?
The landmark is the village of Hoyniuk, the canyon is about 4 km from there. It can be reached on foot in about 45 minutes, by SUV or motorcycle (they are available for rent), or by the hourly bus. Another 2-3 km of mountain trail leads to the entrance itself.
What to do there?
Walking, hiking and canyoning with special equipment. The canyon is part of the famous Lycian Trail, so lovers of long routes will not be bored here.
What to see inside?
There are waterfalls and natural lakes in the canyon - it is for their sake that most people climb here. The walls of the gorge are narrow in places, so water and stone work better than any guide.
What should you know before your visit?
Entrance is paid (as of 2022 - approximately 17-23 euros depending on activities), and evening access closes at 7:00 p.m. There is security, guides and food on site, so it will be difficult to get hungry or get lost.
