Excursion - "Yaremchi Waterfalls"
Let's start with a visit to the "Inverted Hut" museum, which is located on the outskirts of the village of Polyanitsa. This is an unusual architectural structure, where its foundation is at the top and the roof is at the bottom. Carpathian carpenters built it using wood-frame technology in just a month and a half. At first, it was planned to have either a small hotel or a cafe in which all the furniture would be in a normal position. But later they decided to give the house to a museum and arrange all the furniture in it in accordance with the architect’s idea - also upside down.
Next we will drive through the village of Tatarov and go deeper into the forest, where we will see the gorgeous Zhenets waterfall Guk, so named because of the strong roar it emits. It was formed in the post-war years as a result of a flood. Its crystal clear water freely falls from a height of about 15 m. But the road to this miracle of nature will not be easy, but through a suspension bridge over the mighty Prut River. And there is also a job for extreme sports enthusiasts - a bungee ride along the river.
Then the road will lead us to the village of Mikulychyn - the largest in Ukraine, since the length of one of its streets is more than 20 km. Among the spreading mountains of this area there is a picturesque canyon, the depth of which in some places reaches more than 35 meters. The river flows between the rocky banks. Prutets-Chemygivsky, where the most dexterous tourists can try to catch river trout with their hands, which sometimes swims up to the river rapids.
Then we will go for lunch, where we will taste homemade Ukrainian dishes. And gourmets of Hutsul cuisine will also be able to choose a variety of delicacies for themselves.
Having satisfied our hunger, we will get acquainted with the pearl of the Ukrainian Carpathians - the city of Yaremche, which has existed for more than 200 years (since 1787). Moving along the river. Prut, a mountain stream of water will lead us to the picturesque Probiy waterfall - the deepest, cascading waterfall of our Carpathians. Nearby is the famous restaurant “Hutsulshchyna” - the brightest example of folk architecture of the Carpathian region, one of the real treasures of the Carpathians and the most famous calling cards of Yaremche. But what about without souvenirs? We will also be able to visit the exhibition-bazaar of Hutsul products. A carved mug, knitted socks made of sheep wool, handmade pottery, traditional embroidered shirt or even a warm blanket - everything that the Hutsul region is rich in can be purchased from local craftsmen!
And finally, we will get acquainted with the diversity of the Carpathian fauna by visiting an open-air cage. Roe deer, red deer, wild boars, eagles and other representatives of the Carpathian fauna are here in full view. The main advantage of this corner of nature in Yaremche is the absence of the depressing atmosphere of a zoo. All animals and birds are kept in conditions of relative freedom and feel comfortable, since they are not in cages, but behind a mesh fence.
Having taken unforgettable photographs of the wonder of nature as a souvenir, our journey comes to an end. We return to the hotel
