Today, April 25, 2015 at 11:56 local time, a major earthquake with a magnitude of more than 7.5 occurred in Nepal. There are casualties and destruction in Kathmandu and other populated areas. Multiple avalanches occurred in the mountains.
Our previous group (including me) managed to return to their homeland before all these events. But today trekking to Annapurna was supposed to begin with another national group, which included one of our tourists. There is no contact with them at the moment. According to the schedule, they were supposed to be in Kathmandu at the time of the earthquake.
