Carpathian Hiking Tours

The route takes place in Gorgany - the most wild part of the Ukrainian Carpathians. We cross some parallel ridges and we pass by the most beautiful Carpathian waterfalls and rising higher and hgher we shall appear on the highest point of Gorgany - mountain Syvulja. 

Route of a hike:

Day 1. Ivano-Frankovsk, Pasechnaja, falls Buhtivets.

Meeting of group in Ivano-Frankovsk. A transfer in Pasechna (50êì). We go along picturesque small river Buhtivets under steep rocks. In 7 km from the beginning of a route we go down to Buhtivets waterfall. The waterfall has height nearby 10ì and is very picturesque. Near to it there are some more fineer falls. Further we rise on ridge Dil (966ì), the road goes through a beechen wood. With poloniny on a crest of a ridge the wonderful kind on Gorgany ridges and village Manjava opens. Descent in with Manjava goes on abrupt road to a coniferous wood. We spend the night in a wood near small river Manjavka. Extent of a route of 5-7 hours.

Day 2. Manjava waterfall, ridge Chortka

Today we shall see Manyava waterfall (height nearby 16m). The waterfall is in a shady canyon and we shall examine it both from above and from below. Further through a coniferous wood we go on ridge Chortka (1250ì). Having passed some kilometers on wild covered a light forest and bulk stone to a ridge, we go down on picturesque polonina Ripna where we shall spend the night. Extent of a route of 5-7 hours.

Day 3. Ridge Stanimir

Continuation of movement. Through cuttings down covered by a raspberry we pass under ridge Stanimir (1580ì) and it is risen on it(him). On a picturesque glade we shall organize a lodging for the night. Extent of a route of 5-7 hours

Day 4. Sources Bystritsy, mountain Syvulja

Through picturesque poloninu we go down on pass Maksimets. We rise on pass Havre between Gorganskimi tops Havre (1551ì) and Korotkan (1675ì). Through a dense coniferous wood alternating with poloninami we leave on poloninu Rushchina where is sources of the important inflow of Dnestr of the-river Bystritsa (it(she) proceeds through Ivano-Frankovsk). At presence of time the same day it is radially risen on mountain Sivulja (1818ì) and Lopushna (1836ì) which is the maximum(supreme) point Gorgan. We spend the night on polonine Rushchina. 5-9 hours

Day 5. Old border, pass of Legions

On old Polish-Czechoslovak border (nowadays border Ivano-Frankivska and Zakarptska areas) we will rise on mountain Talpich (1450ì) and further walk along ridge Taupshirka (1464ì). On the mixed wood we descent on pass of Legions named in honour of victims during first world war of the Polish legionaries. On this picturesque pass we spend the night. 6-8 hours

Day 6. Village Bystritsa, Ivano-Frankovsk

Along small, but picturesque small river Rafajlovets spuskaemja in village Bystritsa, whence we leave to Ivano-Frankovsk.

 


Price: 220 Euro (incl. guiding fee and three meals a day)

Tours: all tours we suggest are standards and reckoning to the ordinary person, without special training. We can always change them and make taking into account all your wishes. The duration of the tours and their complication are not a dogma. You can test yourself in every season of the year.  Experienced guide-instructor is working with a group. Average time for everyday walking is 6 hours. In the route the members are living in tents. The feed is cooking on the fire. During all route the members carries things and public burden themselves, carry the water, take part in preparation of the fire-wood. During the time of the route the comforts (toilet, douche) are not stationary (nature level ). When you order the tour we try to take into account all your wishes about routes, feed and service.If you want we can compose tour special for you.
Feed: full board (three times a day). Example menu is: soup, milk products, different jumbles, macaronis, tea,  in limited are season vegetables and bread.
The members: you can go as one, as with family (children) or friends. You can also take part in tours with your domestic animals. Usual size of the group from 6 to 15 persons.
Cost of the tour: cost of the tour depends on minimal number of people in the group Prices can be change in dependence from volume of service which you would like to take, tariffs of ferrymen and others.
