Gorky theatre
The Academic Russian Gorky Theatre is built after the project of the outstanding academician in architecture A.N.Beketov in 1911. In january, 1996 the reconstruction of the theatre was finished, it had lasted 16 years. Having preserved the original appearance of the theatre, it has been completely transformed inside. Now it is unique theatrical complex of seven different stages (from the biggest one with 711 seats to the chamber one). There is a memorial board in the theatre and the bronze bas-relief introduces 8 portraits of actors and theatre workers who were antifascist groop and were killed by the fascist occupiers in 1944.
