Yalta State Mountains and Forests Reserve
Yalta State Mountains and Forests Reserve was founded in 1973 with the purpose of preserving the forests of the southern slope of the Main Ridge and Yaila nature complexes which are situated above them and possess original forms of relief. The flora of the reserve is presented by approximately 1400 species of plants, which is more than half all the Crimean species, 55 species being entered into the Red Books.

The specific scientific value to reservation give four unique populations of Strawberry of tree: Baidar-Kastropol, of Alupka, Ay-Todor (The most large in Crimea among trees) and of Yalta.

It is the monuments of nature of state significances. Limits of reservation have a lot of independent monuments of natures, presenting huge scientific interest: Beech grove and pine-"plane" on plateau Ay-Petri, "drunk" pine grove, waterfalls Uchan-Su and Yauzlar, Isar rocks, Taraktash and Stavri-Kaya, place Pendikiul, Kuchuk-Koy stone chaos, Iphigenia rock, karst caves Iograph, Pearl, of Mishor, Kamnepadnaya, Honey, Trailing, Stavri-Kaya, Friendship, Geophysical, Cascade, Nikita cleft.
