Sivash Isles |

This vast very shallow and salty bay of the Sea of Azov is a rather complicated interlacing of water and dry land, a distinctive maze. It is sinuous , produces numerous coves, peninsulars and isles, which are more than sixty. Some of the isles were decreed forbidden in 1947. The isles Kitay, Tuk, of Martyns, which are situated in the central area of Sivash' landscape were among them. It is a place of rest and dwelling of various nesting and through birds. The silver laugh-sea-gulls are especially numerous. On the isles of there exists the biggest nesting of on Sivash. Some birds are very beautiful birds with white feathering, black little cap and crimson beak. It may appear difficult to find your way about the isle owing to the nests of sea-gulls and grey ducka lying here and there. On the isle of Kuyuk-Tuk you can find the species, that has been entered into the Red Book. |
